Your job:

As PV&V Engineer you'll be responsible for completion of mechanical product verification and validation (PV&V) and engineering projects for both new design and product improvement. You'll often be operating in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in reviews. Your experience in a similar role will be essential as you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting and evaluating possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance

  • Compiling and documenting information including engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data, for building of prototypes and adoption of design

  • Operate cross-functionally, assisting in the development of specifications for complete new mechanical systems for forestry attachments and providing support to resolve field issues

  • Developing and executing test or analysis plans for PV&V of mechanical systems

  • Following the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Continuous Improvement (CI) processes

  • Performing engineering calculations on critical components to ensure quality of design and reduce risk.

Your skills:

  • Degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years experience in a specific area of specialisation or expertise such as Automation, Hydraulic or Mechanical systems, in particular in the design and manufature of heavy equipment

  • Practical application of Computer Aided Design (CAD) or alternate engineering analysis tools

  • Good understanding of EPDP, CI and Customer Acquisitions Process (CAP)

  • Ability to quickly build relationships and work cross-functionally

  • Strong analytical skills and able to make decisions and ensure that projects or tasks are completed.
