HPE PointNext is looking for a Services Specialist to represent the HPE brand & be responsible to position their end to end support portfolio to customers, targeting some of the largest institutions in New Zealand. We are recruiting a proven sales professional comfortable with prospecting & hunting for new business opportunities in both existing customers & brand new logo. You should have a background selling enterprise wide services solution to private enterprise & government. As a Services Specialist you will use your strategic selling skills to expand coverage in existing accounts & educate prospective customers on the benefits & value of the HPE PointNext portfolio. You will serve as a trusted adviser, share insights & continually seek opportunities for growth to make your customers as strong & successful as possible.


  • Identify & prospect new business while maintaining & expanding services to existing clients

  • Build trusted customer relationships with executives & all lines of business & works as a member of a sales team to drive growth within accounts

  • Able to solicit & maintain extensive networks of customer prospects

  • Position “as a Service” consumption models to customers

  • Effectively & comprehensive reporting on opportunities identification & updates leveraging SFDC & other reporting tools

  • Managing complex sales cycle utilising a consultative solution selling approach

  • Creative solutioning with accurate cost calculations to provide customers with quotations

  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement with a view to closing sales

  • Proactive customer engagement hosting roadmap sessions, building proposals & discussing special promotions

  • Demonstrates specialised services knowledge for a specific solution, market, & competitive intelligence

  • Negotiates, structures, & closes "deals" that meet customer expectations

  • Leads in the development of territory plan, sales plans, strategies & execution plans

  • Be accountable, exceed sales goals & financial targets objectives

  • Build upon customer satisfaction & retention

  • Understand competitor activities & market trends and link this back to the territory

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience with proven success identifying target markets & potential customers

  • Strong track record in meeting &/or exceeding targets set

  • Strong industry network

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation & interpersonal skills

  • Results orientation with the ability to work independently

  • Ability to manage time effectively & efficiently & set priorities

  • Ability to collaborate & team across a large matrix organization
