We now have an opportunity for a Project Scheduler to join our Major Projects team in New Zealand working on large and complex projects.

Reporting to the Executive Project Director, the Scheduler will provide scheduling, planning and program control services for the project and assist Senior Management and Project Managers in the application of monitoring the projects in relation to project planning by loading, monitoring and generating reports utilising Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working efficiently with construction manager and site supervisors to ensure smooth sequential working and coordinating with interfacing/adjacent contractors.
  • Organising, participating and providing input in planning and progress meetings and workshops as necessary throughout the project life cycle.
  • Providing scheduling guidance to the site teams/subs.
  • Working with the site teams/subs to develop detailed and accurate work schedules, daily and weekly metrics and reporting data.
  • Ensuring the collection of measurement data on a daily basis for compilation into reports and validation of commercial payment applications.
  • Continually monitoring progress, productivity, performance and implement action for improvement pre-emptively.
  • Working closely with the Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Clients and Sub-contractors to identify potential changes in scope and quantify the impact of any changes through the Primavera / MS Project tool.
  • Providing input on all Global Major Projects-related VO’s and contractual claims, ensuring that the construction-related substantiation in notifications and follow-up is clearly defined, accurate and demonstrable from scheduling, resource loading and critical path analysis standpoints.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of the individual projects and all amendments and change orders for the project.

These are large projects, with a number of major pre-requisites and interdependencies, and we are therefore seeking applications from highly experienced planners and/or schedulers with extensive demonstrated experience working on similar large complex fast-paced construction and site contracting projects. You must also be display an over riding commitment to Health & Safety in you previous work, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
