Consultant/Senior Consultant, Indirect Tax - Auckland
EY’s successful Indirect Tax Practice is an integrated & collaborative team of tax professionals advising the best clients in the New Zealand market. We are currently looking to supplement and add to our team in Auckland with a Consultant or Senior Consultant that can deliver value to our clients and people.
We are looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant who is passionate about helping our clients to manage their Indirect Tax risks, comply efficiently with their regulatory requirements and identify opportunities to improve their overall Indirect Tax position. Your key responsibilities
Drawing on your skills and experience in Tax, you will provide technical advice on how our clients can manage their Indirect Tax risks and compliance obligations. This will include identifying risk areas and sustainable planning opportunities for Indirect Taxes. Working across multiple projects and clients, you will have the opportunity to advise clients on key Indirect Tax issues to help them meet their business goals.
Skills and attributes for success
Strong technical tax skills
Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast paced environment
Exposure to key client ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle and JDE
Strong analytical and research skills
To qualify for the role you must have
- Experience in Tax, preferably from within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm, law firm or top-tier business consultancy environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience or interest in Indirect Tax
