We are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our growing Wellington-based Transport team. This could be your opportunity to provide transport planning and engineering expertise to the national Jacobs transport planning business alongside other transportation, traffic, and design and project management staff. You will work with some of our key clients, providing expertise on local and national transport planning projects and would be part of an exciting period of growth for us. Our Wellington Transport team is diverse in thought and background and provides our clients with expertise in transport planning, traffic engineering, ITS and traffic signals, design delivery, ground engineering and asset management. Our team likes to have fun at work and though we have very high standards of delivery, we also have a relaxed and inclusive working culture.

About you

For this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience to provide technical contribution, skills and judgement on transport planning projects

  • Provision of inputs into wider transport planning projects and displaying a flexible skillset within the transport planning sector

  • Appropriate expertise in the use of tools to support transport planning practice

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to meet with clients

  • Ability and interest to teach junior staff transport planning principles and practices
