Due to business growth, an exciting newly created opportunity exists to join the Ethicon Team in Christchurch, as an Ethicon Product Specialist covering the South Island. This role will place you in some of the industry’s fastest growing market segments, with access to a broad and evolving product portfolio.
We are seeking a highly-driven sales professional who is self-motivated, energetic and passionate, to become a member of the Ethicon team. You will be responsible for exceeding your sales targets within the territory and across the product portfolio. Opportunities for growth will be across the full range of surgical specialties, including General, Urology, Gynaecology, Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedic and Plastics. To be successful in the role you will also require a high level of engagement with non-clinical stakeholders and ability to collaborate across other JJM Business Units.

To secure this exciting role, you will need to enjoy working in the surgical environment and teaming closely with surgeons and nursing staff to support procedures. Your ability to organise your time and resources is paramount, as is your ability to build strong key stakeholder relationships. You must be a team player and work closely with your Ethicon and other JJM colleagues.
Your background will demonstrate the following:
• Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales, preferably in an operating theatre environment;
• The ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders;
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with people at all levels;
• Sound business acumen with skills in identifying and focusing on acquiring new business;
• The motivation and ability to ‘think outside the box’ to grow your business in a highly competitive and challenging marketplace; and
• A collaborative approach and the desire to contribute to a strong team environment.
