About the opportunity

We are currently recruiting a Graduate Water Engineer to join our growing team in Christchurch. This is your opportunity to not only grow your career but undertake water engineering projects under guidance of senior practitioners and work collaboratively with the wider Christchurch water team. In this role, you will bring your civil engineering discipline to contribute to projects associated with the three waters infrastructure network. This role will give you the opportunity to work both in our office but also visit client sites in the region. We are a rapidly growing team of civil engineers who work closely with our planning, environmental, geotechnical and natural hazards specialists to deliver multi-disciplinary projects for local government and private sector clients across New Zealand.

About you

For this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of honours degree or similar in Civil Engineering

  • Are a recent graduate or have a few years’ experience working in a collaborative environment as a professional practitioner in the field of water engineering

  • Understanding or ability to use CAD and knowledge of NZ specifications and procedures

  • Be proficient in verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to connect and engage with clients and project teams alike

  • Collaborates well in a strong team orientated environment
