* MAIN JOB PURPOSE:*

It's an exciting time for the Unilever New Market Category team! We've seen continual business growth and successes; and now due to an internal promotion we are on the lookout for another amazing Category and Insights Shelf Specialist to join our team.

The Category and Insights Shelf Specialist is a key role in our business, as they advise and influence Unilever’s major customers on critical business decisions in the areas of shopper and space strategies and assortment and promotion to improve overall category performance and (mutual) results.

This is an excellent opportunity to be viewed as the 'information expert' by your peers as you will lead discussions around big data and trends to provide meaningful business recommendations.

* JOB SUMMARY*

  • Deliver actionable insight led recommendations through analysis

  • Utilise insights to support the development of strategic plans to delivery on financial objectives.

  • Incorporate new technologies into design to strengthen retailer collaboration.

  • Provide performance insights, marketplace analysis to influence decisions and strategies to grow the category.

  • Collaborate with Customer across business reviews and strategic projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing or related discipline

  • 1-2 years post-graduate experience in FMCG, Retail or Merchandising (desirable)

  • Ability to develop customer relationships

  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships

  • Proven strengths in category management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Effective at analysing data and drawing insights
